John Kenyon
I introduce people with private wealth to institutions they might otherwise never speak to.
Most choices seem obvious from inside the structure that produced them.
I have spent much of my life stepping outside those structures.
Major motion pictures. Business. Barbados. Private wealth.
Different worlds. The same instinct: What else is possible?
Choice
Private wealth is usually discussed in terms of capital.
I am interested in what capital makes possible.
The point is not simply more.
It is more choice.
My role is different
I maintain formal, independent referral relationships with selected private-wealth institutions. Each was established only after institutional due diligence. I understand the circumstances, consider the available choices and, where there is a genuine fit, make an introduction.
I am not the institution.
I do not manage money.
I do not manufacture financial products.
I curate serious conversations around private wealth, jurisdiction, trust, comfort, access and choice.
Perspective
My career did not begin in finance.
I spent thirteen years working in major motion pictures and later founded what became one of Canada’s largest film production studios.
Then I moved on.
Barbados changed the perspective again. Geography, work, capital and time do not necessarily have to be arranged in the way we inherit them.
Eventually, that thinking led me into private wealth. Not because I became fascinated by financial products. Because I became fascinated by possibility.
Relationships
The relationships behind my work are formal. They are also independent.
No institution is the answer to every person. Different circumstances require different conversations, different expertise and sometimes different jurisdictions.
Selection comes before introduction.
That independence is the point.
Liberty is the destination.
Time is the currency.
Capital is the vessel.
